Recruit! Come on in Austin White
Michigan picks up its 16th commitment for the recruiting class of 2010 and it’s at a position that is a high priority – running back. After 2009, Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown are gone. So is Keven Grady – who seems to make more of an impact off the field than on the field. Austin White becomes the third running back to commit in the ’10 class. White is a three star on Rivals and a four star on Scout.
White left himself deciding between the Wolverines and the Spartans – and it’s safe to say he made the right choice! He does have two brothers – both wide receivers – that are currently on Michigan State’s roster – I like his style of going against the grain and not following his brothers to MSU. On why he is a fit at Michigan:
“I think the spread offense can showcase some of the skills I have that are not just in the running game, which is catching passes,” he said. “I think they can help utilize that. Maybe I could be in the slot. Right now I think running back is my position and I feel like I can succeed at that position, but if I end up being a better play at slot I don’t see why not; as long as I can get on the field.”
