Monday Michigan Hotness: “Family Values” my arse!! ..and Stevie Brown
- Let’s be honest – who didn’t grin or giggle a little bit today when you saw that Mr. Kurt Wermers was academically ineligible at the time that he announced that he was transferring from Michigan to Ball State!!
I really didn’t get along with the new coaches. They were bringing in a lot of different kids that were not my kind of crowd. Coach Carr’s staff was a whole different ballgame. It was like a family. But when Rodriguez came in it was a whole different feeling. It was more of a business. I figured I’d get out while I could.
Isn’t it pretty easy to get out at any point in time when you technically were never in!!
- Mark Snyder writes in the Detroit Free Press on Stevie Brown getting himself prepared for his new role in the defensive backfield. Brown’s in his new position is being coined the “X” factor on defense as he is in a hybrid role – juggling a safety / linebacker title. Based on what has happened on the field in the past two seasons back there at safety – my bet is on Stevie spending most of his time as a backer and not 15 yards off the ball. This move worries me a bit at first, but it’s really the only way to leverage his game experience into something positive.
