Top Michigan Defensive Hits
- Dadrian Taylor almost killed the man. The hardest, most violent hit I’ve ever been witness to in my life. Start watching this video at 2:25 to relive the hit that set the tone for Michigan on their way to a great day in Happy Valley.
- Marlin Jackson put’s down a Purdue wideout in an open field collision.
- Ernest Shazor puts a mean lick on Purdue’s speedy freshman wideout Dorian Bryant – granting Michigan the 16-14 win in West Lafeyette. Right at the 7:00 mark is the play where Shazor gets it done for the Wolverines.
- David Boston. Apparently, back in 1997 Charles Woodson thought he was a joke – aaaand he was right! Great hit put on Boston towards the end of the game by Marcus Ray. For the hit, go to the 5:40 mark in the below video..
- Against Baylor in ’97 – Woodson winds up and drops a guy on a little pitch out to the receiver split wide. Start watching at about 1:40.
- During Lloyd Carr’s final game, Jamar Adams laid several licks on Florida’s Tim Tebow. Watch the whole short video and you will see a few. The great one starts about 25 seconds into the video.
I KNOW there are more hits that are worthy of being on this list. I’ll be adding more as my brain dials into some past games. Let me know what needs to be added!!
