Practice Video – Kickoff in 18 Days
Here is a great video from practice with captions showing who’s doing what – if you aren’t 100% familiar with what freshman have what numbers. It’s going to be interesting to see who can contribute on the offensive side of the ball right away – whether it’s Jeremy Gallon, Terrence Robinson, Je’Ron Stokes, etc. There are a number of guys that seem to have the skills to contribute – who can make it happen in the Big House on gameday?
- Over on AnnArbor.com, Michael Rothstein writes about the sound in Michigan Stadium – and that crowd noise and sounds from the speakers should stay in the stadium.
Michigan installed glass panels on its boxes at the top of the new concourses that should push sound back toward the field.
Here is a statement from Lloyd Carr on the stadium noise in consideration of the renovations…
“We’ve got a very educated fan base and when you need them, down through the years, those fans have always been there,” former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr said. “Now, with that said, the stadium is going to be much, much louder this year because the windows are into the boxes and it’s in my judgment based on what I heard last fall and what I see, I don’t think there’s going to be a louder stadium in the country.
“Unless it’s Oregon.”
- It appears as though Greg Paulus is getting the first crack at the starting Syracuse QB gig – I’m sure most Michigan fans will have a small interest in how he performs over there. We didn’t expect him to get the starting gig after being out of football for four years.
