The Season Lies at your Doorstep
I’m just excited. What do have – 60 some days before Michigan’s 2011 season gets under way? This morning as I was rolling into work a song came on in my car that totally reminds me of the last few seasons and fall Saturdays.
See now, I live just outside of Cincinnati. That’s Ohio. So on a typical game day, pending kickoff time, I make the trip up to Ann Arbor that morning and put my skates on as early as 4am or so. The anticipation and energy that we get as college football fans is unparalleled. And I can feel a new fall season fast approaching. I need not give you lessons on how fast time goes, but daily updates from Doug Karsh on how camp is going is at your doorstep.
So, as the times change, as we go from Carr to Rodriguez to Hoke, as Ohio State goes from Cooper to Tressel to Fickell, it’s once again a perfect time to get all jacked up about Michigan football. Recruiting is going as well as can be expected at this point – hence the little screenshot up above.
Not only is recruiting going exceptionally well, a new Big House is also awaiting fans. Right, just some new scoreboards, but I think that’s going to make a big difference and will keep more of the noise in the confines of the stadium. From hail2thevictor a little photoshop work shows the steel beams right now as compared to the old scoreboards…
Good times ahead my friends.
