A Quick Thank You, Multimedia.

Last season I created a Media Log page to keep all of these videos, photos, and articles that I typically enjoy consuming after a game in one place.  I’ve decided against doing that this season because I know my audience is aware of where they can find that information.

When I think back just a handful of years to the mid-2000′s – I never had Every Snap videos to watch each week.  I was aware of mgoblog, but not of the high-quality content it pumps out on a daily basis.  At this point, if you didn’t catch the game live on Time Warner, or Charter Cable, you can download a torrent and watch the whole deal after the fact.  Not only can you do all of that, now, the Big Ten Network replays games on a regular basis.  Should you miss parts of the game for whatever reason, BTN does a good job of replaying games that you can, at the very least, DVR.

In this day and age, I feel fortunate to have all of these things at my disposal.  When I returned home at 2am from the Under the Lights game, I spent another hour devouring highlight mash ups that were already created by Michigan fans from around the world.  It’s just incredible, and I’m thankful we have it!

One thing I’ve done on here before is promote the use of Twitter to stay up to date on Michigan football and the week to week happenings.  Many people don’t quite understand the proper use of Twitter when it comes to simply staying informed of what is going on with the team.  All you have to do, is follow someone like myself, which is @mgofootball, and look at all the folks that I follow.  Choose which ones you’d like to follow, but you’ll see that it’s a mix of Ann Arbor, Detroit, and National sports media, players, former players, Michigan bloggers, and recruiting insiders.  If you haven’t already, I would encourage you to check it out!  What I’ve said before:

Twitter is a whole lot of fun. If you aren’t on twitter because of whatever perceptions you have of it – get an account and join the Michigan circle on there. It’s great fun and the fastest way possible you will get any breaking or entertaining news from the media, coaches, players, bloggers, insiders, etc. You can find me at MGOFootball.
