23 weeks ago! Dude, you've got a hell of a memory? I can barely remember what I said two-weeks ago.

Anyway, you were right man. There's no doubt that the difference maker in 2011 was the quality level of coaching by the entire staff.

This weekend should play out in Michigan's favor. It's not like we need someone to knock off a heavy favorite – it's the opposite. A BCS bowl game in Hoke's first? I would have signed up for that at any point in time this year.

Not to toot my own horn or anything but 23 weeks ago I posted a comment on this blog under the "will rich rod be missed" post stating that Greg Mattison was a great hire and the defense would make great strides this season under him. This was a great season and it was because of the emphasis Mattison and Hoke put on the fundamentals on the defensive side of the ball. Love that we blasted Nebraska and finally beat Ohio again. Now I look forward to a probable BCS game or at least getting to beat up on that powerhouse sec team south carolina in the cap one bowl.

Right – I was a little peeved there when Michigan lost contain on a few plays back to back. One of them was definitely on Roh. And there are some teaching moments for both Countess and Floyed in regards to getting sealed off and opening up the sideline.

Jibreel Black is a bit of a mystery to me. He had a strong freshman year, but hasn't been very productive this season.

I hate to be a debbie downer, but Jebril Black continues to lose contain. Most of the edge rushing Nebraska ran was when he was in the game and he lost contain. I am beginning to wonder if he will ever get it. Ryan and Beyer are getting better at it, I wonder why he keeps crashing the running back.
