Offense should be better next year, although I do believe we will miss the “power running” of Minor those few times he was healthy enough to really contribute. Don’t know who will pick up that slack next year. Hopefully, Tate has used the past year to mature, and better manage his skills on the field (like . . . Don’t drop the ball . . . Throw it out of bounds when nothing there . . .). And, the O-line should be more consistent – it MUST give him a bit more time back there.

Defense is a major concern. Losing the best defensive player on the team does not help. And, while the rest will have an additional year experience, not sure that makes a lot of difference as this group seemed to regress as the year went on. There are some potential play makers coming up on defense, but they will still need a couple years before they can really shine, if any of them do.

Bottom line, I think we will see a team next year not a whole lot different from the team this year, perhaps with a bit more consistency on offense, but probably a bit worse on defense. Predict a 6-6 season next year, and I’m not at all certain where 3 B10 wins comes from to get that record.

Well RR went 1 for 3 in the rivalry games amd no bowl again this year. I thought the team looked good against OSU. The turnovers kiled us out the gate but the D hung in there. The offense is going to be amazing next year and I can’t wait. If this team was moving the ball this good this year next year is going to be really exciting. Hopefully the D can figure out how to make some stops.

The ND win doesn’t seem so nice since they ended up sucking so bad and losing to UConn. I bet they lose to Stanford by 30 and weiss and his fupa are booted from south bend!

defense sucks….the offense improved this year…i think the defense will improve next year..

Beat the Shizzy out of Wisconsin – i like it. That’s for sure, I don’t agree with all that crap but the mindset of college football fans and analysts is pretty short-sighted. But it’s the nature of the beast – that’s just the way it is.
